Space Race

The Russians were getting ahead of us. We were behind, because the math we needed didn't exist yet. A miracle had to happen for us to win. Days passed by. We were getting pressured by the government over and over again, asking,"Have you figured out the bit of math yet? Time´s running out!." At times our calculations would be too big, at times too small. We all needed more time, but there wasn't any. On April 12th 1961 Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space, we were losing. One man said,"How can something so tiny go into space.
